Funding

Andrew Ian Dodge takes a look at funding in England…

UK scandals: now its funding of political parties. For those who don’t know Blair & Co had a slush fund that the treasurer of the party didn’t know about…it had about £15 mil in it. Typical new Labour reaction…”we”, ( ie: all parties), are all to blame. There are suggestions that taxpayers fund the political parties: akin to £3 on your yearly tax . The reason they want this, of course, is so they can limit/eliminate money to non-standard parties: outside the main three. This would hurt parties like UKIP (on the right) and RESPECT (Galloway’s mob) on the left.

Retort

Andrew Ian Dodge responds to Jim S. The Folderman’s earlier taunt…

Alas, I think Jim makes a valid point. Course it ain’t that unusual; this problem. I often hear, via my music biz sources, that something neat is coming along the pike; only to find the local record store completely unaware of the release. Quite often there is quite a time lag between when something is supposed to be released and shows up so you can buy it. iTunes has the EP; but it can take up to 2 months to get it into the system. Doncha just love the “digital age” and the internet? Oh, iTunes aren’t the slowest either.

Froggie

The Telegraph reports today that a new French channel CII, that is state-funded, is going to be mostly in English. It seems that even the French have realised that more people in the world speak English than French. How about the language of diplomacy then? As the article points out there are only 35,000 official French words while there at least 350,000 words in the OED. This move is a clear sign that France has lost its influence in the world and what a wonderful thing that is to witness. What me gloat about the Froggies’s demise? Nah, not me!

Cartoon Goons

Andrew Ian Dodge follows up on the anti-cartoon, anti-free speech protestors in London…

Mirable Dictu! Police have arrested 5 of the worst poster bearers from last month’s anti-Danish Mohammed Cartoons protest. They are looking at 22 more they think might have broken the law. They try to toss the BNP leader in jail for dodgy things he said on a secret tape taken in stich-up by the BBC, yet it takes them this long to arrest people who are calling for mass murder out in the open. Those who actually support freedom are mustering for a rally in Trafalgar Square a week on Saturday the 25th. Its time to stand up for freedom.

Education

Andrew Ian Dodge takes a look at education…

The excitement is palpable here in the Westminster Village (ok so I am in Westminster’s red light district) because its looks as if the PM is going to get his schools bill through with the help of the Tories even thought he has a majority of over 60. It seems the traditional knuckle-dragger contingent of his Labour Party don’t like the concept of parental choice and power. But then again, one of their own John Prescott, Deputy PM said and I quote: “if we have good schools parents will want to send their children there.” Socialist sometimes completely befuddle me…

Catholics

Andrew Ian Dodge takes a look at some folks who bow towards a museum district in Rome…

Catholics, like the Muslims, are now whingeing about something they are offended by. Of course, like with those cartoons, I have no sympathy for anyone offended by the DaVinci Code. I consider it karmic payback for all those persecuted by the Catholics over the last 2000+ years. Who am I talking about: Gnostics, Jews, Cathars, Barbars, Pagans, women, Protestants and Holocaust victims. Rome’s handling of Priests who used their flock as a harem for young boys to molest. Lets hope all the whingeing drives loads of people to see this movie. Beats killing em’ all; like the Muzzies would do.

Ozzy

Unlike Ozzy, you can actually understand Andrew Ian Dodge when he talks…

After all the stuff I have done about footballers and their proclivities with/without phones I thought I would change tack a bit and do a piece about Ozzy. The Sun reports that he can’t get wood anymore thanks to the drugs he is on to keep him on an even keel. Course all the booze and other drugs he has shoved into his body probably have not helped stiffy matters either. You could argue that living with his daughter Kelly would convince anyone to stop shagging. Even the remote possibility of having another child like her would make anyone limp.

Phone Tap

467696

Andrew Ian Dodge talks about phone taps today:

You are discussing the legality of phone-tap evidence with the Attorney General UK so what do you do? Why you tape the conversation and not bother telling the AG you’re taping him. Of course this is not terribly surprising considering Sir Ian Blair’s past behaviour; after all this is the bloke that wondered aloud why the press was making such a fuss about the Soham murders. This was the case of several young girls being murdered. One does have wonder if this nitwit has the sense to be head of the largest and most important Police Force in the country.

More daily commentary from our man in London, Andrew Ian Dodge…

We may have a rather interesting scenario in the UK with the meddling in British politics from Rome. And no I am not talking about the Catholic Church sticking their oar in British political life. I am talking an Italian prosecutor going after David Mills, Tessa Ja’Woll’s husband for his dealings with Berlusconi. They have “separated” while he deals with his problem. She knows nuthink! Could the biggest hit to the Blair government come from Italy not the Tories or the Lib-Dems? Just shows the state of British politics when the government looks wobbly because of the goings-on in Italy.

For those of you addicted to Andrew’s stuff who can’t stand my crap, I’ll set up an RSS feed just for him.

Placards

388673

Andrew Ian Dodge considers the hate-placards of protestors in London…

The Telegraph has reported that the Police have decided to arrest those with the more vile and violent placards at last month’s Religion of Peace rally. This is probably due to all the pressure on the Police over the matter. As I reported last week even Trevor Philips, chief racism bully, has expressed his concerns over the behaviour at the rally and the recent poll about Sharia law. The British government does seem to be trying to reverse the view that it is being more lenient with Muslims than other sorts. You think the public is going to buy it?

Ah, sweet fickle Lady Justice. When shall we ever see your knickers?
