He awoke to a pain that felt as if his head would split in two.
As he opened his eyes the darkness overwhelmed him.
He tried to get up yet the pain made it absolutely impossible.
He tried to scream, but pain and fear snatched the sound.
He continued to come in and out of consciousness and with it came fragments of memory.
His penthouse suite,
His lover,
His wife, the fight they had that led to physical blows when she found out.
Then, the realization that she had done this him, she had left him here to die…
